The Amarilla Golf & Country Club, designed by Donald Steel and opened in 1998, is an 18-hole par-71 course by the ocean and a peaceful area in the south of the subtropical island of Tenerife, surrounded by the lush fairways of one of the best golf courses on the Canary Islands and Europe.Ideal for both first-time and experienced golfers, no licence is required to play.Amarilla Golf & Country Club has wonderful views of the majestic Mount Teide and the exclusive San Miguel Marina.The course is a challenge for both the experienced player and for those with a higher handicap as its narrow fairways require accurate shots.The best part is undoubtedly the 8th hole, a par-3 masterpiece of design using the sea as the fairway, forcing the ball to fly across the ocean to reach the green.
